Military records:  Served in Revolutionary War. Volunteered from North Carolina in October 1775, discharged January 1, 1776. Again volunteered
October 1, 1777, discharged in December. Next volunteered March 1778, discharged July 20, 1778. Again volunteered as orderly sergeant in August 1781, discharged October 26, 1781.
1835, Alabama Pension Roll lists Henry Lentz, Limestone County, Private, of June 14, 1833.
Religion:  belonged to Methodist church.
Occupation:  Farmer

Lincoln County, North Carolina;  moved in 1791 to Buncombe County, North Carolina;  Blount County, Tenneessee;  moved in 1810-1812 to Madison County, Alabama, from Joyce Parish, Swannanoa, North Carolina;  moved in 1818 to Limestone County, Alabama.

Sevilla (Sible)

b. 1760 (1782?) in North Carolina(?)
d. May 6, 1847, (age 84), in Limestone County, Alabama, buried Lentz Chapel. Grave marker erected by Robert Lentz gives details taken from the
diary of Henry J. Lentz. Some researchers believe Sevilla to be a Cherokee Indian. Later researchers have found no evidence to support this.  Some believe her to be of German extraction.
